when it rains it pours...
Monday night Colton was playing wild as he usually does and was jumping off his jungle gym. This is a regular occurance. He had done it several times but the last time he screamed like I have never heard him scream before. He wouldn't put weight on his left leg and cried, and cried, and cried some more. So for the 2nd time in 9 days we headed to the Galichia ER and sure enough he broke his left tibia. I was beside myself trying to figure out how I was going to take care of Lance and Colton, not to mention I need to get back to work. So since Lance has a Dr's appt w/ Dr. Miller this AM, the ER called and he said he would take care of Colton as well. So this morning we loaded up and headed to KOC to be looked at. Colton loved riding in his wagon with the portable DVD player. Dr. Miller said it was a clean easy break and will heal in 4-6 weeks, no cast yet, but will probably have to sedate him to get the cast on him in a week or so. We go back next Tuesday for an Xray. Lances visit went great they are very pleased with his progress. Physical Therapy is going well as well. He headed off back to work today. At least one of us is bringing home the bacon to pay all of the upcoming bills!
